Résumé
This new study of self-commentary does not focus on redefining different types of commentaries, delayed or not, serious or playful, such distinctions having been well characterised since Genette. Following more recent work, they rather tend to explore the founding ambivalence in any self-commentary. A “dangerous liaison”, the author’s commentary on his own work invites us, explicitly or not, to a suspicious reading, attentive to this undecidability of meaning that Pierre Bayard analysed for Laclos’s novel and Andrea del Sarto for a preface in the 19th century.
Ce nouveau travail sur l’autocommentaire ne vise pas à revenir sur une typologie, des distinctions bien connues depuis Genette, entre commentaire tardif ou non, sérieux ou ludique mais à explorer, à la suite de travaux plus récents, l’ambivalence fondatrice de tout autocommentaire. « Liaison dangereuse », le commentaire d’auteur sur son œuvre propre nous invite, explicitement ou non, à une lecture du soupçon, attentive à cette indécidabilité du sens qu’ont analysé Pierre Bayard pour le roman de Laclos et Andrea Del Sarto pour une préface du XIXe siècle.
