L'interface rural/urbain : relecture de l'Est francilien

Abstract : The notion of interface is present in the discourse of geographers for decades. It allows to look differently territories. Among the large number of interfaces within territories, our paper addresses the issue of rural-urban interface. The study area is the Eastern Paris. A territory marked by an ancient spatial discontinuity, which is registered as a spatial boundary and is now likely to play the role of interface. So the approach is intended to identify and locate the interface by combining historical geo data (old maps), two centuries of demographic database (e-Geopolis data) and two decades of observation of land use (data Corine Land Cover)
