Une utopie technicienne pour réformer l’université ?

Abstract : Sociological analysis of uses, misuses and non-uses of a documentary engineering tool in higher education, managed in the frame of french digital campus, lead to identify the deciding role of the technicical design and of the almost political projects who underlies it. The managerial, pedagocial and disciplinary utopia, connected to this project consists in intendind to comply social activities and attitudes to a pre-established model, reified inside the technical system. Indeed, designers aim to promote acces to knowledges, by eliminating what they consider as the individualism of academics. Beyond the imposition af a new division of labour, and of what should be the “proper” pedagogy, the introduction of the tool intends to contribute to modifiy the very meaning of the teaching activy, to turn it to the only transmission of operational knowledges.
